Kingery Family and Larry Olsen Band will provide entertainment at Life Connections

April 16—The Kingery family and the Larry Olsen Band are ready to take the stage at the 2022 Life Connections event, April 21-22 at the Willmar Civic Center.

The Kingery family, from the Atwater-Grove City area, will begin their set at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 22. Their musical presentation is sponsored by the Whitney Music Center in Willmar.

The group began as a family of 10 – Mike, Chris and their eight children – singing and serving together through music. It has grown to include three sons-in-law and seven grandchildren. They have enjoyed singing together for 19 years. They primarily sing bluegrass gospel music, while incorporating fiddle, patriotic, American, and a capella styles. Their combination of tight harmonies, uplifting songs and family unity is sure to cheer everyone up.

The Larry Olsen Band will entertain the afternoon crowd beginning at 2 p.m. on Friday, following the afternoon BINGO. The group’s appearance is sponsored by Pioneer Public TV.

The Larry Olsen Band – consisting of Larry Olsen, Al Drage, Dale Tolk and Rich Roepke – is a four concertina band from Lake Benton. The group was formed in 1982 and debuted as the Larry Olsen Show, performing polka favorites Minnesota and the Dakotas. With a foot tapping rhythm ready and set, put on your dancing shoes.
