NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (AP) – Developer and reality TV personality William Hutchinson pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to raping an unconscious 16-year-old girl at her Southern California vacation home.
The 63-year-old, released on $ 100,000 bail, declined to comment after the Orange County Superior Court hearing, telling reporters: “Good day, no thanks” as he climbed into the room. a car, the Orange County Register reported.
Hutchinson is known for his two seasons in the Lifetime series “Marrying Millions”, which followed his romance with his 23-year-old fiancée, Brianna Ramirez. Hutchinson owns Texas-based Dunhill Partners, a commercial real estate company that develops, leases or manages shopping malls and other properties nationwide.
Prosecutors have accused Hutchinson of taking two 16-year-old girls on multiple occasions this year to his vacation home in Laguna Beach and giving a girl alcohol in April before raping the unconscious teenager. He is charged with sexual assault and battery on the second teenager in May.
Hutchinson is also charged in Texas with sexual assault related to allegations of tampering with a 17-year-old girl at her Dallas-area home in May. He is the teenager’s legal guardian, according to court documents.
Hutchinson, who has denied doing any wrongdoing, surrendered to police in Highland Park, Texas last week and is being released on $ 30,000 bail in the case.
In California, Hutchinson pleaded not guilty to one count of rape of an unconscious person and five counts of the misdemeanor of sexual violence. If convicted, he faces up to eight years in state prison and two and a half years in a county jail.
