The New York Rangers are looking to secure another win over the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 3 of their 2022 Stanley Cup Playoff series. The Penguins are hosting the game at their home stadium of PPG Paints Arena on Saturday, May 7 at 7 p.m. pm ET.
After an unforgettable win for the New York Rangers this week, they enter Game 3 tied 1-1 with the Penguins. Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry, who the team relied on to win, is recovering from an injury and did not play in Game 2.
Stopping all 17 Rangers shots, Penguins goaltender Louis Domingue became a hero of the game after coming on in the second overtime. ESPN reports there’s a good chance Domingue will be back for Game 3 as the starting goaltender, as Jarry has yet to return to skating. The Penguins also lost other key players after their Game 1 victory, including left wing Jason Zucker, defenseman Brian Dumoulin and goaltender Casey DeSmith.
