KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety is asking the public to help identify a man who allegedly posed as a police officer Friday night.
Around 6 p.m. Friday, Kalamazoo Public Safety Department officers were notified that a man was posing as a police officer and conducting a traffic stop on Portage Street near Palmer Avenue.
Officers determined the man was at the scene of an accident earlier in the day. Police body camera footage of the crash shows the suspect, who is described as a white male, and his vehicle, a dark-colored Chevy Equinox, officials said.
