There is good news for Sky, NOW (formerly NOW TV), and Roku users with a bunch of additional content arriving for free on those platforms this week. All thanks to The Roku Channel with this service announcing that 30 new original shows will be broadcast starting May 20 to celebrate World Streaming Day.
Roku says the lineup includes a range of star-studded content, including Emmy-winning shows and entertaining scripted series. Die Hart, with Kevin Hart, Chrissy’s Court, with Chrissy Teigan and Cup of Joe, with Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner. These Roku Originals will be added to the huge lineup of over 25,000 free movies and shows already available on the platform.
Speaking about the launch, Sweta Patel, VP of Engagement Growth Marketing, Roku said, “The launch of Roku Originals will bring incredible, premium entertainment that has breadth, depth and diversity to millions of streamers who regularly visit the Roku Channel and plenty of new viewers who might not even have a Roku device – and it’s all available for free.
“We have created a fantastic user experience to deliver exclusive and original content accessible wherever the Roku channel is broadcast.”

Along with the launch of these Roku originals, there is more content to come for Sky users.
The satellite TV company just launched the Peloton fat-burning app on its Sky Q box, and you don’t need any fancy gear to get a bit fitter.
The Peloton service offers live lessons that you can participate in directly from your living room. Sessions including yoga, running, cardio, bootcamp, stretching and more.
Of course, being part of Sky Q, Peloton subscribers will be able to tune in to the latest courses on demand and live through their TVs.
If you fancy a try, the Peloton service is available in the My Apps menu on Sky Q, but the fastest way to navigate to the app is to simply say “Peloton” in your Sky Q voice remote to open the app. ‘application.
